Chronicles of Georgia aka Tbilisi Stonehedge

A 360 degree fly-by around a massive monument called Chronicles of Georgia (Kartlis Tskhovreba in Georgian) above Tbilisi. It is massive and looks like Georgian version Stonehenge. It was build during the Soviet times in 1982. Most people don't get to see it as it is far from old Tbilisi, nor is it as widely advertised. Even the locals don't always know where it is. If in Tbilisi, go see it, and the easiest way to get there by taxi. Ask to take you to Tbilisi sea.  Music by Beastie Boys, Shambala track

Drone footage in the interesting places →

It has been ages since I made any posts on this blog despite traveling most of the year.  Main reason is too much footage and images with little time to process.  Anyways, here are some videos from some interesting places which I will be spitting out more regularly both here and YouTube.  Enjoy

The first video is shot in an abandoned space ship looking, Soviet sanatorium in Georgia in the Caucuses.

Teaching English in North Korea (DPRK)

Mother, father, sister, brother....  I remember the school days when I wanted to play outside rather than study English..."why do I need it?...am I going to go to London or something?" we used to say as kids.  Who would have thought that some years later I will get a chance to teach it to school kids in North Korea!  Well, my English is far from perfect, but ok for a 4th language and good enough for a lesson to young pioneers in Rason , North Korea aka DPRK (Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea).

I was pleasantly surprised on the level of vocabulary kids had.  Pronunciation needs work, but that is because of lack of exposure to native speakers in class or on TV.  The other thing I learned that kids are like kids everywhere.  They were very curious about us, and everyday life of children abroad, like things kids do for fun, sports etc.  They were not as "brain washed" as some might think.
